Day 1 - Flight and Arrival

My flight was at 12:55am from Liverpool John Lennon airport; quite a trek! I set off at the lovely hour of 7am, driven to the train station by my mum. I wont cover the whole journey because, well, boring! But it was a 3 hour trip, car – train – train – bus, but wasn’t too much hassle which was good, I just got tired of carrying a heavy suitcase all that way!

I got to the airport and had an awesome Weatherspoons breakfast, then hung around for my plane. Eventually we were called to the gate. It took ages to get on the plane, we were already late before we were in our seats. So there we were, preparing for take off, saying goodbye to our loved ones and turning our phones off, when it was announced that we would be 45 minutes late due to someone from the cabin crew being away, and they had to bring in someone from home! How ridiculous is that! Sooo we waited, and waited, and waited.

We did fly eventually.

England to Berlin directly took about two hours to fly, all through which I played DS games my boyfriend (D) had given me. At the other side I collected my bag (eventually, after pulling the wrong suitcase off the belt first and having to hump it back on again >_< ) and met my aunt in the airport. We drove (note to self, remember the seats are the other way round, stop going to the driver’s door) back to my aunt’s house where she bought us pizza and we talked and looked at what I could do around Berlin. It was really nice, a great first day in the city.

They also have the cutest dog ever, I’m in love with him. He wears socks!
